How to Watch the America’s Cup in NYC (May 7-8)

Are you near NYC on May 7-8? If so, be sure to check out the sure-to-be-amazing city front spectacle that will be the America’s Cup World Series. Here is some advice from the AC website on how, where and when to watch. And if you can’t get to NY, don’t worry – you can watch it live on the internet and on TV.

Head to the Brookfield Place Waterfront Plaza to experience the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series New York Event Village, featuring entertainment, food vendors, sponsor activity and hospitality. The Event Village main stage will host the Dock-Out Shows, where fans can cheer the teams before they head out to the race course, and the Awards Ceremony. Big screens near the stage will also broadcast racing live.

The Event Village is free and open to the public from May 6-8.

Brookfield Place is located at 230 Vesey Street, along the iconic Hudson River waterfront and across from the Statue of Liberty.

Racing for the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series New York will take place on the lower Hudson River, just in front of Brookfield Place. The race course will be set just off the Battery Park City Esplanade, between the Pier 25 basin to the north and The Battery to the south.

The Esplanade stretches the length of the race course and offers 1.2 miles of free public front-row seats. It runs along the Hudson River from the top of the race course and Stuyvesant High School on the north end all the way south to Historic Battery Park.
