These ladies never cease to amaze us. JD and TotalBoat is a proud sponsor of these two fighters who, as reported in this post here, are abroad working hard to wrap up their spot on the US Paralympic Sailing Team bound for the games in Rio in August. Nothing seems to stop them or slow them down and their perseverance is enviable for able bodied sailors who are rocking the beer can races around the buoys. Nothing seems to stop them – not injury or disability or weather or whatnot… inspirational ladies, to say the least.
Follow them to Medemblik as they go for their last chance at scoring a spot on the Paralympic Team. The Dutch regatta is the Para Sailing World Championship and if they don’t beat the other US team in contention (Porteus & McKinnon) by 2 points – they are done (in this round). If they hope to go to the 2020 games in Tokyo – they better hope that Paralympic Sailing is reinstated into the games, because as of now this is their last Paralympic appearance – unless the massive effort by the sailors overturns that [bad] decision.
In the meantime – follow along here on TBS as we report on Team Good Karma Racing’s progress in Medemblik. You will be able to get results from the upcoming regatta here (search Skud 18 results) and see the overall Paralympic picture for Team USA’s Skud 18 sailors here.
One more shout out to these hard working, deserving ladies! TotalBoat and your JD pals are with you every step of the way! GOOD LUCK! You can do it!
