Hard Water Riding

Typical for New England, the super cold Arctic blast chilled down the harbors, ponds and bones of all of us who enjoy the water -even in the winter – turning them to rock solid ice – and then it was gone. But while it lasted – some 2+ weeks, there were plenty of us who grabbed our skates, kites and iceboats and RAN to these frozen places. Most know it doesn’t last, and in many winters it doesn’t even arrive once. So when you get a few weeks to play with your ice toys – you better make the most of it.  Continue reading

Boating Fails!

It’s not nice to laugh at other people’s problems or screw-ups. But it’s FUN when they can’t hear you and you don’t know them. So laugh away at these “boaters” who are not the most seaworthy mates to have aboard with you.

WARNING: Profane language, super stupid boating fails and injury. TotalBoat Show hopes all involved in these “fails” are in good health and that those who are in the videos laughing at them get some karma back in spades.

And please – remember – most boating accidents can be avoided all together by wearing a life jacket at all times on the water. You never know when disaster or an emergency will strike and if you have a PFD on – you have one less thing to worry about – and it’s the most important…YOU!

Jamestown Distributors sells PFDs and First Aid kits, VHF Radios to radio the USCG for assistance and lots more emergency equipment for when the S**t really hits the fan.  Let’s hope you never need these items. Please boat safely and get your Safe Boating License for your state to ensure you can handle and, better yet, avoid emergencies on the water.

Until then – LAUGH away!

Reach the Bottom of your Trailered Powerboat

We already told you about the cool new TotalBoat Trailer Mounted Boat Lift that the boat trailering and bottom painting experts at Jamestown Distributors dreamed up… Well they are flying off the shelves because – as we say in Little Rhody – they are WICKED awesome and super helpful for getting under the boat for bottom painting and trailer work.

This new video we just produced shows you how easy it is to use the Trailer Mounted Boat Lift. You can single-handedly crank up the boat with your bare hands (turning the screw handles) and it’s safe and easy and it works on boats of all sizes and up to 10,000 pounds.

Sold in kits of 4, it’s not insane to think that you could get a set of the stands and share around the ‘hood, the club or even at the ramp as fellow boaters swoon at your perfectly painted boat’s bottom!
