We have shown you the inner workings of our own TotalBoat Workshop – a busy scene with lots of R&D, restorations and little, boat projects and lots of Shop Night fun. Now it’s your turn to show us what you have going on in your own workshop. We want to see the saw dust and sticky messes from your workbench. It’s all part of the beautiful building and tinkering process, the victories and the mistakes and mishaps – all of it. Send us your image(s) with a caption about what your photo is about and we will include you in our photo album of Workshop Pictures on our Facebook page and on TotalBoat.com. (Contest Photo Album to come soon!) Continue reading
We had such an outpouring of excellent entries to our TotalBoat Product Photo Contest, that we couldn’t choose just one winner. So we decided to award THREE entries as winner in three categories:
Best Photo, Best Project, and Most TotalBoat Products Used.
Each winner will get a $50 JD credit!
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS!
It’s been super fun to see the submissions coming in for our TotalBoat Project Photo Contest. The variety of projects is fun to see and ranges from topside paint jobs using Wet Edge Paint to varnish boats, boards and hatches, lots of Boston Whaler restorations and bottom jobs.
If you have yet to submit to the photo contest – you still have time! We are accepting entries through July and will announce our winner. Continue reading
It’s time for our summer Photo Contest! We want to see project boats and boat projects that involved TotalBoat products. Show us your paint jobs and layups, your fancy bottom paint and your ugly repairs. It doesn’t have to be pretty, but it does have to be a TotalBoat project and the winning photo will have to be good!
Every summer we look forward to the influx of great boating photography that floods in after our Photo Contest opens. Be a part of it and submit your best project photo(s) using our TotalBoat products. It can be a messy DIY moment or a perfectly applied, mirror-like paint job in process. We would love to see photos of projects in process or completed – and don’t be shy – send a few. (one per email, please)
We love it all because we know what it takes to get these boat jobs done – and sometimes, it is a work of art – a masterpiece. Other times, less so. And we’ll leave it at that. Follow the instructions below and send in your winning photo. Continue reading
Congratulations to the Summer Fun Photo Contest winner:
Marty Loken of Port Townsend, WA.
This photo of his 1888-design 13′ canoe yawl, NORD VINDEN, was taken July 19 while anchored in Mats Mats Bay, northern Puget Sound.
Marty writes: We were part of a four-day “Palooza Crooza,” featuring 30 small boats that had participated in the Pocket Yacht Palooza boat show, July 18 at the Northwest Maritime Center in Port Townsend, WA. The Palooza Crooza route was from Port Townsend south to Mats Mats Bay, then north up Admiralty Inlet and around Marrowstone Island into Kilisut Harbor, followed by a sail into Mystery Bay before returning to Port Townsend. Date for the 2016 Pocket Yacht Palooza will be Saturday, June 11, followed by another Palooza Crooza.
This photo got the attention of our judges because of the sparkling wood and wood finishes and the amazing sky. There were many excellent submissions and the choice was very difficult, but we think you will agree that this is a top notch photo.
Enjoy the entries to our latest Photo Contest as they fly in on email.
